Dear Members,

Kindly note that below Terms and Conditions would apply:

  • Free Doorstep service would be applicable only once a month. Any additional requests in the same calendar month would be chargeable by Rs.70.
  • Doorstep Service could be availed for an exchange of minimum 3 books. Exchanges at our store have no such restrictions.
  • Fine worth MRP would be levied in case major damage to the books is done. Normal wear during reading is okay. Any damage to the received books need to be reported immediately on the same/next day.
  • Membership renewal STRICTLY needs to happen on time. The renewals can be conveniently done at home. It is not recommended to plan a visit to our store just for renewals.
  • The deposit amount cannot be used for renewals during the tenure of your membership. It’s for our safety, to partially cover ourselves against loss and damage.
  • We do accept Book Requests and we have fulfilled it for a lot of our customers. However, we request you to understand that the orders to publishers/distributors and our other suppliers go in bulk, and each of them have a different threshold order value. Hence, for fulfilment of the book requests, it might take a day, or a month, and it further depends on the availability of the same with our suppliers as a whole.
  • Thea/Geronimo Stilton and Tintin books are limited to 2 per order. This is to make children explore other authors as well, and potentially prevent blockage of Stilton titles (considering it’s the one of the major favourites among kids).
  • In case of membership CLOSURE, refundable Deposit will be refunded only if all the books are returned in expected condition.
  • Providing us the details required for the membership, you agree it to be correct. Any discrepancy found later, the membership will be put ON HOLD instantly until the KYC is complete.
  • If your membership has EXPIRED while you are out of town for any reason and still holding any of the borrowed books, renewal still needs to be done on time, unless there is a valid medical reason presented.
  • In case you wish to PAUSE your membership for any reason, all the borrowed books should be returned to us. Pausing and Resuming in the same calendar month isn’t allowed.
  • If a member chooses to QUIT/WITHDRAW the membership, the borrowed books should be returned immediately within the allowed grace of 5 days after membership expiry.
  • Library Membership Renewal reminders are sent approximately 18 times in the course of 8 days overlapping the membership expiry date, and across different channels (SMS, Email, Whatsapp). If a member does not favorably respond to any of the renewal reminders sent by us, fine charges of Rs.100 will start adding on a daily basis after the initial grace period of five days ends.
  • If a member still does not respond to any of our requests, the legal process will be initiated from our end on the 8th day from the date of membership expiry. The initiation of legal process would implicitly also TERMINATE the membership, wherein no refunds would be processed.
  • We own the right to PERMANENTLY TERMINATE the library membership based on the account history, wherein no refund would be processed in that situation.
  • If a member informs on CLOSURE/PAUSE of membership after the 5 renewal reminders are sent, the fine charges of Rs.100 will still apply.
  • If the membership is PERMANENTLY TERMINATED for any of the above mentioned reasons, the member won’t be allowed to avail Read and Brew Library services any time in future and the refundable deposit cannot be claimed. Hence, please avoid terminations by renewing your membership on time.
  • Kindly note, that the Membership Charges and One Time Registration Charges are not refundable under any circumstances.
  • Under extreme cases of Non-Compliance to above mentioned terms, a legal notice might be processed at our sole discretion towards fine and asset recovery by Read and Brew, which would eventually lead to termination of the library account and the refundable deposit cannot be claimed by the library member.
  • Dispute resolving – “The parties hereto agree that any matter or issues or arising hereunder or any dispute hereunder shall be subject to laws of India and the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of situated at Pune District”.
